Who We Are

We are a social impact-driven training platform dedicated to building the skills of grassroots field workers. Founded by a social worker with over 25 years of experience, our aim is to make learning simple, affordable, and useful for those working at the field level in NGOs, CSOs, CSR projects, CBOs, community projects, and other social development organizations.

We understand the daily challenges of field workers at grassroots — many of them come into the sector with limited formal education or training, yet they carry out some of the most important work within communities. Our platform is designed just for them.

Our team of experienced instructors at TheFirstSalary.Com have a proven track record of providing long-term mentoring to more than 5000 families across India. We take pride in our commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those we served.

Our Founder and Director, with wide experience, has conducted over 600 such training throughout India. These training have drawn participants from various socioeconomic and educational backgrounds, creating a rich and diverse learning environment.

Why We Exist

During decades of working in the social sector, our founder saw a clear pattern:
• Senior staff, usually have good educational backgrounds, formal degrees or training.
• Grassroots workers, often join social work to earn a living and lack job-related training, though they are full of potential but lack the same support.
• Most grassroots organizations, or projects cannot afford to provide complete and comprehensive training to their field teams.
• Most donors, usually fund only project-specific training—not overall field staff development.
• Most available courses, are either expensive or difficult to understand, making them unreachable.

This has left field workers in NGO projects, CSR initiatives and other social programs without access to proper, job-specific learning. These gaps not only directly affect their performance, confidence, and long-term growth also, the outcomes of the social projects implemented by NGOs, CSR and other organizations.

This gap inspired us to act. We created this platform to offer low-cost, easy-to-understand, and job-specific skills learning directly linked to grassroots field workers daily work and responsibilities — from basic field roles to Project Officers.

Meet the Founder

Our founder, Sanjeev Kumar is a seasoned social worker with over 25 years of field and management experience, worked closely with NGOs, INGOs, CSR teams and field staff across rural and urban India. Having worked closely with both donors and communities, Sanjeev saw a serious lack of practical training for grassroots roles and how such underserved capable workers were struggling — not because they lacked commitment, but because they lacked essential skills development support.

This platform is a result of that journey. It brings practical experience, empathy, and a deep understanding of the field workers struggle. It is built on deep field knowledge and a clear understanding of what grassroots teams really need.
